Visitor Center

We know how important it is for you to visit with your family and friends while they are staying in our hospital. We try to offer flexible visiting hours and policies while still providing the highest quality of care for you. Be sure to check in at the volunteer reception desk located at the entrances to both our hospitals for special restrictions based on the unit you will be visiting.

Overnight, between the hours of 9 pm and 6 am, visitors will need to use the hospital's emergency entrance located at the rear for the Oak Park campus. During this time, the hospital's other entrances are closed for security purposes.

Although visitors are welcome, patient care is our primary concern. The following guidelines take into consideration patient comfort, need for rest and support from family and friends:
  • Visitors must dress appropriately and must wear shirts and shoes.
  • Please be considerate of other patients by keeping noise to a minimum.
  • People with colds, sore throats or contagious diseases should not visit patients.
  • Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatment, or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.
  • As part of our commitment to the promotion of healthy lifestyles, smoking in the hospital is prohibited, but permitted in the court yard on both campuses.
