One way to obtain valuable experience for nursing
students is through the Student Nurse Program. Nursing students who have
successfully completed their basic college clinical skills courses are
eligible to participate.
Memorial has several opportunities designed uniquely for the aspiring
student nurse. Click on one of the following positions to learn more:
- Unit Tech
- Junior/Senior Student Nurse
- Senior Extern Program
If you are currently enrolled in nursing school and would like to
apply for the Junior/Senior Student Nurse program or the Extern Program
contact our recruiter for enrollment information. Interviews are
conducted in November and April for December
and May sessions.
Those accepted go through basic hospital orientation as well as nursing
orientation. They work a flexible schedule as a student nursing
assistant. Students usually work one to two years in this capacity.
