Memorial Hospital Honors Outstanding Employees with Rosie Thompson Employee of the Year Award
Each year at our Hospital Week employee luncheon, we bestow our highest employee honor, our Rosie Thompson Employee of the Year Award, to one of the previous year’s Rosie Thompson Bi-Monthly Award recipients.
The award’s namesake, Rosie Thompson, was a surgical aid at Memorial Hospital from 1963 to 1983. She made a lasting impression on her patients and coworkers because of her friendly, compassionate demeanor and her ability to put people at ease in times of anxiety. In her honor, Memorial recognizes employees who surpass expectations through their innovation, caring attitudes, teamwork and positivity, setting a high standard of service excellence at the hospital.
The Employee of the Year is honored for his or her outstanding commitment to not simply customer service, but what we at Memorial call “Service Excellence.” They show compassion, kindness, innovation, positivity and a willingness to go above and beyond their call of duty to make the Lake Charles Memorial Health System a better place for our patients, their loved ones, our employees and our community.
