Why I chose LSUFM-LCMH: If I could build a perfect family medicine program from scratch, it would be exactly like the Lake Charles Family Medicine program. The inpatient service is always busy and we receive sick patients from various smaller hospitals in the area. The program is very "hands on" and you learn by doing. It is unopposed, and the residents are respected by hospital staff and consultants. It's a tight-knit group, and it feels like a family here. When I graduate, I know I will be a compassionate, well-rounded, and competent physician ready to save lives in Southwest Louisiana!
