Lake Charles Memorial Health System welcomes Manley Jordan, MD in his new role as Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) beginning January 1, 2016.

Dr. Jordan, board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, has been a practicing Pulmonary physician since 1989 and joined Pulmonology Associates of Southwest Louisiana, a part of the Memorial Medical Group, in 2004. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine.

He will also be responsible for the development of a Utilization Review Program for the systems uncompensated care (UCC) patient population. Dr. Mocklin, a retired internal medicine physician, was co-founder of the Internal Medicine Clinic of Southwest Louisiana in 1996, which is now a part of the Memorial Medical Group.

"Both Dr Mocklin and Dr. Jordan have dedicated their careers to improving people's lives. Their commitment to Memorial, our healthcare team and our patients brings a keen understanding of excellence in patient care as well as to the overall market as we move to a value-based industry," says Larry Graham, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lake Charles Memorial Health System. "As Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jordan will bring valuable clinical insight as Memorial continues its unprecedented growth, and he will play a key role in further enhancing our quality and our expanding network of physicians."

"I am excited about this new milestone in my medical career. Memorial is already a strong organization and my goal is to accelerate the care improvements needed in the ever-changing world of healthcare," Dr. Jordan says. "Our priorities will encourage our population to take an active role in their health, while strengthening the delivery and coordination of health care services and providing an outstanding patient experience at all of our facilities."
