King White, MD, FACC Joins Heart and Vascular Center
Lake Charles Memorial Hospital welcomes cardiologist J. King White, MD, FACC, to the Heart & Vascular Center. He will join fellow cardiologists Drs. William Condos, Christopher S. Thompson, John Winterton, Kevin Young, Fernando Ruiz and cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon Dr. Steven Howe.
Dr. White received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical School in Shreveport. He went on to complete his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He is board certified in cardiology through the American Board of Internal Medicine/Cardiovascular Disease, and is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. In addition, he teaches interventional cardiology procedures to physicians from all over the country.
A well-known name in Southwest Louisiana healthcare, Dr. White has treated patients in the Lake Area since 1988. He is experienced in many facets of cardiovascular disease treatment including coronary and peripheral vascular disease and aneurysm repair. As a notable figure in the world of cardiology, Dr. White has served as lead investigator in many medical studies throughout his career. He also performed the first coronary artery stent in Southwest Louisiana, and pioneered the carotid artery stent procedure that is widely used today.
