Eating Well Every Day

Good advice for a healthy diet is to eat a variety of foods that are good for you. The International Food Information Council says that 40 nutrients are necessary for good health and that no single food contains all of them. Your daily menu should include whole grains, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and protein-rich foods including meat, poultry and fish. Your best guides for good nutrition are the USDA Dietary Guidelines and the Nutrition Facts panel on food labels.
