Larger Portions
The portion sizes of foods served in American restaurants have grown substantially, according to the American Institute for Cancer Research. In particular, the portion sizes of soft drinks, hamburgers, french fries and Mexican foods have increased significantly over the last 20 years. The portions of some foods, including pasta, cereal, beer and coffee, have increased dramatically in the last five years.
