Breast Feeding with Dr. Bradley Forsyth
In addition to being a great way for a mother to bond with her new baby, breastfeeding is often the healthiest form of nourishment for the baby as well.  Breast milk is easier for infants to digest than formula, it’s more nutrient-rich than formula, and it also contains antibodies that can boost the baby’s immune system and help prevent him or her from getting sick as often.  Studies have also shown that babies who are breastfed often have higher IQ and a healthier weight than formula-fed babies.

Breastfeeding can also help women shed their pregnancy weight more quickly because it helps them burn more calories.  It lowers the risk for ovarian and breast cancer, and it releases a chemical in the mother’s body called oxytocin, which helps the uterus recover from pregnancy more quickly.  It’s also quite a bit cheaper than buying formula, which can get very pricey.
