Newborn Care Fund *The Pink & Blue Wall
The Newborn Care Fund enhances the neonatal program and birthing center at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for Women which have grown beyond expectations due to the outstanding care provided by the physicians and staff. With this growth, comes additional revenue needs for equipment such as new baby monitors; updated furnishings in the labor, delivery and postpartum suites; or educational materials for expectant moms.

A special program designed to provide resources for the Family Birth Center at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for Women, The Pink & Blue wall is an opportunity for parents, grandparents, relatives and friends to commemorate the birth of a baby while benefitting Memorial Hospital for Women. For a $200 donation, the baby's name and birth date will be placed on The Pink & Blue wall located in the lobby of the Memorial Hospital for Women.

The Pink & Blue wall is not restricted to newborns at Memorial Hospital for Women. Parents, grandparents, relatives or friends may commemorate any child on the wall, whether or not they were born at Memorial Hospital for Women for the same $200 contribution.

Your contribution will be designated to the Newborn Care Fund and recognized in The Foundation’s annual report as a member of the CARE Club.

Pink & Blue registration forms are available in the Family Birth Center. To sign up for an engraved plate on the Pink & Blue donor wall, call The Foundation at (337) 494-3226. You may mail your donation directly to The Foundation office at 1701 Oak Park Blvd; Suite 1940, Lake Charles, LA 70601.

Healing Through Music Fund *First Monday in the Atrium
The Healing Through Music Fund recognizes music as an asset in creating a therapeutic, healing environment for pain management, wound care, and critical care treatments such as cancer and stroke rehabilitation. In that spirit, Memorial Hospital presents First Monday in the Atrium – a presentation of various musical artists from the region. On the first Monday of every month, patients and their families, hospital staff and physicians, and visitors may enjoy the healing sounds of music from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Donors may support the Healing Through Music Fund’s First Monday in the Atrium music program by designating a $500 gift to support one month’s performance. Art for the Soul Fund
The Art for the Soul Fund brings credence to the belief that if music heals the mind and body, then art heals the soul. Unfortunately, when operational dollars are sorely needed by hospitals to continuously improve services and update medical equipment, exhibited art is often an afterthought.

Local artists from the surrounding parishes will be featured on the units and available for underwriting by donors @ $500 a print. Your donation will be recognized with a plaque placed adjacent to the print(s) you select. Additionally, your donation will be recognized at the Benefactor level of the Annual Fund and your name(s) will be noted in The Foundation’s annual report.

To make a gift in support of Art for the Soul, please call The Foundation at (337) 494-3226. You may mail your donation directly to The Foundation office at 1701 Oak Park Blvd; Suite 1940, Lake Charles, LA 70601.

Resident Scholarship Fund
Donors may support the Resident Scholarship Fund by designating a gift to support the Memorial/LSUHSC Residency Program. In the summer of 2009, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital received official recognition as the only teaching hospital in Southwest Louisiana; a distinction we have diligently developed over the past eight years. The Resident’s Program becomes the recipient of 100 percent of the donations given to this fund.

Your generous sponsorship will be recognized on appropriate donor signage and in The Foundation’s annual report. You may also request that your gift goes to support annual scholarships to residents upon graduation.
