September 28, and Wednesday, September 29, from 1:30pm until 4:30pm. Screenings

second helping of our culinary celebration of life and triumph over cancer,
Cookin’ for a Cure – with special
celebrity guest Chef John Besh. Cookin’ for a Cure will be held on Thursday, September 30th at Treasures of Marilyn’s, 3510 5th Avenue. Chef Besh will entertain the senses with a cooking demonstration, followed by a lovely dinner with wine and a door prize giveaway of his award winning cookbook My New Orleans: The Cookbook for those who purchase tickets online.

Lake Charles Memorial Hospital recently honored students who participated in the Young at Art Program in May. May’s display featured artwork by students from Prien Lake Elementary. A panel of Memorial volunteers recognized fourth graders Emily Martzahn and Abbey Rougeau and fifth grader Will Miller with a $50 savings bond.
