Approximately five million Americans suffer from chronic open sores that linger for weeks or months. Often caused by limited blood flow that slows the body's own healing process, these chronic wounds can become seriously infected, gangrenous and, in some cases, may require amputation.
The Wound Care Clinic of Southwest Louisiana provides state-of-the-art treatment for difficult to heal wounds of every description, including diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, arterial ulcers, non-healing surgical wounds, wounds due to sickle cell anemia or vasculitis, and many other challenging conditions.
The Wound Care staff is also committed to education and prevention programs, and we work with each patient to identify and manage their specific health risks.
