Memorial/LSUHSC Family Medicine Center & Residency Program - Our Practice

The Memorial/LSUHSC Family Medicine Center strives to meet your personal health needs and the needs of your family by treating acute and chronic conditions, while stressing preventive care and health maintenance. The Family Medicine Center also serves as a model clinic for the Louisiana State University Health Services Center-New Orleans Family Practice Residency Program. Located within the Family Medicine Center, the clinic is staffed by dedicated Family Practice specialists who also serve as residents'clinical instructors. A benefit to Memorial Hospital’s affiliation with the LSU Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) School of Medicine-New Orleans is the addition of a significant number of primary care physicians to Family Medicine Center .

These 23 family medicine residency physicians work under the guidance of our faculty physicians and, as part of their advanced training, are available to attend to the healthcare needs of your entire family. At a time when many medical facilities are experiencing a shortage of primary care doctors, Memorial/LSUHSC residency physicians offer a variety of medical services Monday through Friday with same-day appointments available by calling 337-494-6767.
