Memorial Opens Todd Terrace
Lake Charles Memorial Hospital opened a new courtyard space called the
Todd Terrace at the main hospital campus on Oak Park Boulevard.
The terrace was built in place of a former designated smoking area and now includes umbrella tables, chairs, outdoor music, sculptures and all new landscaping. Visitors and employees can use the terrace to step out into the outdoors while enjoying lunch or a snack. The space is now a NON-smoking area as are all of the Memorial campuses.
When Memorial Health System went tobacco free last year, the Foundation at Lake Charles Memorial began to raise money to renovate the space. Memorial employees stepped up and donated more than $90,000 towards the project, while Ray and Ann Todd gave a major naming rights donation to the Foundation endowment. Donors are recognized throughout the terrace with individual or corporate brick pavers.
The brick campaign is open to outside donors as well by contacting the Foundation at 337-494-3226.
