Memorial Medical Group welcomes J. Gregory Lugo, MD, a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon to its staff. Dr. Lugo will see patients at Heart & Vascular Center located on the 2 nd floor of 1717 Oak Park Boulevard.
Dr. Lugo is a graduate of Stanford University. He received his medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin.
His post-graduate medical training includes an internship and residency in surgery from the University of Southern California (USC). He also completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery from USC. He specializes in aortic surgery, minimally invasive valve repair and replacement, peripheral vascular surgery including carotid procedures and bypasses, and surgery for diseases of the lungs and chest cavity.
Dr. Lugo is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Society of Graduate Surgeons and Society of Thoracic Surgeons. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
