Be Fast: Responding to Strokes
Seminar
Nearly 800,000 people suffer from a stroke every year in the United States. Recognizing the signs and symptoms of a stroke and getting treatment quickly can lead to a better prognosis—which is why it’s important to understand what strokes look like. Lake Charles Memorial is hosting a seminar with Emergency Department Medical Director, John Gray, MD, about the signs and symptoms of a stroke as well as risk factors and treatments. Be Fast: Responding to Strokes is free and open to the public.
Dr. Gray is a native of Sulphur. He received his undergraduate from McNeese and his medical degree from Louisiana State University – New Orleans. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and returned to Lake Charles in 1998. He is board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
Be Fast: Responding to Strokes is a free seminar being held Friday, April 26 at 12 noon in the Shearman Conference Center at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital on Oak Park Boulevard.
