Family Medicine

Serving Families & Individuals in the Community Since 1952

Lake Charles Memorial Health System has been dedicated to serving the Calcasieu Parish and patients throughout Southwest Louisiana since opening our doors in 1952. Our hospital is unique in that we offer our community a full range of services. Most local hospitals do not provide all of these services. Our goal is to provide comprehensive care for patients. You can make Lake Charles Memorial your primary location and trust our team to suit just about any medical need.

Understanding Family Medicine

Our goal is to provide excellent, comprehensive care for everyone in your family at every stage of life. Family medicine is the branch of medicine that encompasses all ages and both genders, giving comprehensive and continued care throughout an individual's life.

A wide range of sciences is encompassed in this branch, including:

  • Biological sciences
  • Clinical sciences
  • Behavioral sciences

Having a primary care doctor you know and trust is crucial. At Lake Charles Memorial, we are all about serving our clients with compassion, integrity, and genuine care. We get to know our patients as individuals and as family units. We learn your family history, which enables us to provide proactive and preventative care. We help you address emotional, physical, and mental issues through prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.

When you require major attention for your minor, non-emergent health needs, Memorial/LSUHSC Family Medicine Center offers you options. Whether you have a short-term, temporary illness or need a permanent, long-term primary care doctor, Memorial/LSUHSC has 30 doctors to fit your phase of life, your illness and your schedule.

From pediatric to geriatric, we treat common illnesses such as:

  • Sinus/Colds/Flu
