Default Story Image

I became totally disabled on July 10, 1997 after having major back surgery. I have had 2 more back surgeries and 3 or 4 neck surgergeries since then. I was taking as many as 8 Lorcet 10/650 pills then cut back to 6 Lorcet 10/650 & 6 Soma 350 mg pills per day and switching to percoset every few months then back to Lorcet. I had a Pain Management doctor who put a Morhine pump infusion system about 12 years ago in me which worked fine for about 8 to 8 1/2 yrs. I talked it over with my pain management doctor about the pump just not getting it and asked for Lorcets and soma. He told me that he would not write me perscriptions for them but if I needed them I could get them somewhere else. He raised the level of meds I was getting through the Medtronic Pain Pump. I had already spoken to my family doctor and he said he would write me the perscriptions whicj I told my pain management doctor and he said FINE. After trying the raised level for a while it still wasn't doing anything for my severe pain. So I got the perscriptions from my family doctor and they really helped a lot. Well for around 3 to 4 years now I have been taking 4 10/325 Lorcet tabs and 4 Soma 350 mg and going to get my pump refilled about every 2 1/2 months and doing urine samples and all was a loy better, not perfect but when pain became unbearable I had the Lorcets that really helped ease off my pain. Now, I get a letter saying that he will no longer be my physician and pump is due for refill on 01-03-2017. I don't know what to do.
