A Taste of Good Health: Free Seminar

To learn more about what you can do to have a healthier diet and what to look for in your food labels, join Cynthia Chantlin, RD, LDN, a registered dietician with Lake Charles Memorial Health System, for A Taste of Good Health, a free seminar that will be held on Thursday, June 27 at 12 noon in the Shearman Conference Center at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital on Oak Park Boulevard.

Know Your Numbers: Free Community Health Screening

The Partnership for a Healthier SWLA and the City of Lake Charles will offer free health screenings on Saturday, June 22, from 7:30 – 11 a.m. at the Lake Charles Civic Center. Local hospitals CHRISTUS St. Patrick, Lake Charles Memorial Health System, West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital, and Women & Children’s Hospital are partnering to bring this annual, comprehensive wellness screening program and provide 1,000 free health screenings.

Lake Charles Memorial Sports Medicine Contract Renewed

Lake Charles Memorial Sports Medicine will continue serving the student athletes of Calcasieu Parish Schools for the next four years. The Calcasieu Parish School Board voted in favor of the extension at the regularly schedule meeting held Tuesday night.
