live and on call logoBreast cancer is the second leading cause of death among American women, and the American Cancer Society estimates that one in eight will develop it in their lifetime. Having an awareness of risk factors and the importance of regular screenings and early detection increase the chances of a positive breast cancer outcome.

Join Dr. Ellington for the next episode of Lake Charles Memorial’s “Live and On Call” series to discuss this important issue and stay on top of your breast health on Friday, October 22, at 12 p.m. from the Lake Charles Memorial Heath System Facebook Live Event.

Dr. Ellington is board certified in general surgery and has an interest in surgical breast disease. Her passion for breast health and breast cancer prevention is helping patients gain the knowledge they need to reduce the risks of developing breast cancer.
