Dr. Clements is a board-certified internist and primary care physician at Lake Charles Memorial Health System. A primary care physician is often the first medical professional you see when you're sick. They are specifically trained to act as personal doctors, providing long-term, comprehensive care. Internists see adult patients diagnosing and treating a variety of issues – from cold and flu to managing chronic diseases, like hypertension and diabetes. Primary care physicians, like Dr. Clements, are also the access point to specialty care, like cardiology, orthopedics, and surgical services.

Dr. Clements has been attending to patients at Lake Charles Memorial Health System for over 20 years. Dr. Clements applies his years of knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate care of adults across the spectrum from healthy to complex illness. He is well-trained in the diagnosis of puzzling medical problems, in the ongoing care of chronic illnesses, and in the caring of patients with more than one disease. He also specializes in disease prevention.

Dr. Clements is a graduate of Nichols State College with a bachelor’s degree in science. He then began his medical training at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans where he earned his medical degree. Dr. Clements continued with his post-graduate training with an internship and residency at the University of South Alabama.

He is a member of the American Medical Society, the American College of Physicians, the Louisiana State Medical Society, and the Calcasieu Parish Medical Society.
