Archer Institute Reopens Adolescent Unit

Lake Charles Memorial Health System is proud to announce a win in the recovery from Hurricane Laura. On Monday, November 23 the Archer Institute was able to reopen the adolescent unit to once again provide behavioral healthcare in the state-of-the-art facility. The Archer Institute had been closed since suffering major damage from Hurricane Laura.

All behavioral health services have been provided at Memorial Hospital since, which limited the number of behavioral health patients Memorial Health System typically houses. This progress in getting behavioral health services back to what they were before Hurricane Laura hit has been nothing short of a miracle. Repairs continue at the Archer Institute and the facility hopes to reopen the adult unit in the coming weeks.
