LCMH seeks motivated high schoolers for the Junior Volunteer Summer Program

The Auxiliary at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital is seeking motivated, kind and hardworking local teens to join the 2026 Junior Volunteer Program. Applications are open to local teenagers between 15-25 years old. Volunteers are expected to volunteer a minimum of 48 hours during June 2- July 31. Shifts are Monday - Friday from 9 am to 12 pm and 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Duties may include greeter, working the information desk or blood draw station, escorting visitors and working in departments with specific request.
Volunteers are valuable resources to the hospital and provide an irreplaceable investment into the health system and the patients. As a volunteer, you will be rewarded with a feeling of selflessness knowing that you are helping patients and their families during a time when they may feel helpless and dependent on others.
Established in 1968, the mission of the Auxiliary is to render service to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and its patients by assisting the hospital in promoting the health and welfare of the community in accordance with the objectives established by the hospitals.

April 30, 2026 - Application Deadline
June 2, 2026 - Junior Volunteer Program Begins
July 31, 2026 - Junior Volunteer Program Ends
