Kai Ackley, MD Joins Lake Charles Memorial Health System

Lake Charles Memorial Health System is pleased to welcome Kai Ackley, MD, family medicine physician to its medical staff.

A Sulphur native and McNeese alumnus, Dr. Ackley is proud to return home to care for the community that raised him. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Science at McNeese before completing his Doctor of Medicine at Xavier University School of Medicine Aruba, with clinical training in New York City and Chicago. He then returned to Lake Charles for residency at LSU Family Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident for two years — training and mentoring fellow physicians, experience that shaped his collaborative, down-to-earth approach with patients.

Dr. Ackley specializes in comprehensive primary care for patients ages 15 and older, with a focus on preventive health and the management of chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, ADHD, depression, and anxiety. He believes in catching problems early, keeping care simple, and working with patients to support their long-term health goals and overall well-being.
