Changes to After Hours Visitation – Effective February 1, 2026

At Lake Charles Memorial Health System, the safety of our patients, visitors, and employees is always a top priority. Beginning February 1, 2026, we will implement a change to our after-hours visitation process at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

What to Expect During After-Hours Visits

After-hours visitor verification process:
• Between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. visitors will be required to enter through the Emergency Department entrance
• Visitors must stop at the Security office window
• A valid photo ID will be required
• Visitors must provide the patient’s name for verification

Security will then contact the patient care unit to verify the visit before issuing a visitor sticker. This step helps ensure that only approved individuals have access to patient care areas overnight.
