Lake Charles Memorial Health System is proud to announce the extension of its partnership with McNeese Athletics and the McNeese Athletics Foundation as the Official Sports Medicine Partner of McNeese State University Athletics. The agreement extends the collaboration through 2028, with an option to renew in 2029.
Originally established in the summer of 2024 between Lake Charles Memorial Health System and the McNeese Athletic Foundation, the partnership has strengthened the connection between two institutions deeply rooted in Southwest Louisiana. Through this collaboration, Memorial’s sports medicine team provides expert care and support to the Cowboys and Cowgirls of McNeese State University, helping student-athletes stay healthy and perform at their best both on and off the field.
McNeese Vice President and Director of Athletics Heath Schroyer expressed enthusiasm for the continued partnership, and the impact Memorial has had on the university and the broader community.
“I’m excited to announce the extension of our sponsorship agreement with Lake Charles Memorial Health System,” said Schroyer. “For decades, Memorial has had an incredible impact on Lake Charles and McNeese, not only as a healthcare leader, but as a steadfast partner invested in the health, growth, and success of our community. Their commitment reaches far beyond hospital walls, touching families, businesses, and our student-athletes every single day.
The service and professionalism their team brings to our campus is second to none, and we’re proud to continue building on the strong relationship between McNeese Athletics and Memorial for years to come.”
Schroyer also recognized the leadership of Lake Charles Memorial President & CEO Devon Hyde and Chief Strategy Officer Jason Rashall for their ongoing dedication to the region.
“What they’ve done for this community is unmatched, and I’ve truly enjoyed working alongside both of them over the past few years,” Schroyer added.
