Details:

Any doctor will tell you – smoking is one of the worst things you can do for your health. But despite the health risks, the stinky smell, the constant interruptions to daily life when the urge to smoke strikes, it remains one of the toughest habits to break.

If you are trying to nix the nicotine once and for all but can’t seem to find the motivation to do it, or maybe you’ve quit before but started up again - you are not alone, and there are helpful resources to get you on the right track to being completely nicotine-free, often at no cost to you.

To learn more about how to successfully quit smoking and the resources available to help you quit for good, join JoAnn Brooks, Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist with Lake Charles Memorial Health System and the Louisiana State University Tobacco Control Initiative, for Nixing the Nicotine, a free seminar that will be held on Friday, September 30 at 12 noon in the Shearman Conference Center at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital on Oak Park Boulevard.

Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance, and a light lunch will be provided. To reserve your seat, please register below or call (337) 494-2936. You can also watch this seminar live by visiting www.lcmh/watch.
