Free Seminar: Heart Valve Vitality

About This Event

  • Event Type:Seminar
Details:

When birth defects, age, or disease interferes with our cardiovascular health, a common result is a problem with one of the four heart valves – aortic, tricuspid, pulmonary, or mitral. Thanks to the latest procedures, repair of these valves is now more efficient, less painful, and requires less recovery time.

To learn more about the conditions that affect the heart valves, and the minimally invasive procedures used to treat them, join Dr. Gregory Lugo, a cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon with Memorial Medical Group and Heart & Vascular Center, for Heart Valve Vitality, a free seminar.

Dr. Lugo is a graduate of Stanford University. He received his medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin. His post-graduate medical training includes an internship and residency in surgery from the University of Southern California (USC). He also completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery from USC. He specializes in aortic surgery, minimally invasive valve repair and replacement, peripheral vascular surgery including carotid procedures and bypasses, and surgery for diseases of the lungs and chest cavity.

Heart Valve Vitality is a free seminar being held Friday, August 26 at 12 noon in the Shearman Conference Center at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital on Oak Park Boulevard.

Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance, and a light lunch will be provided.
