Seminar- Stroke: Warning Signs and Prevention

About This Event

  • Event Type:Seminar
Details:

Strokes – caused by blood clots or ruptures in the brain’s blood vessels – can occur quite suddenly with very little warning. The symptoms can often be overlooked or confusing, and include things like numbness in the face or limbs, loss of vision, severe headache, and a sudden difficulty speaking or understanding speech. Knowing these warning signs can help ensure treatment begins as soon as possible, which can greatly improve chances of survival.

To learn more about strokes, their warning signs, and the best ways to prevent them, join Dr. Jon Gray, Medical Director of the Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, for Stroke: Warning Signs and Prevention, a free seminar that will be held on Friday, July 28 at 12 noon in the Shearman Conference Center at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital on Oak Park Boulevard.

Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance, and a light lunch will be provided. This seminar is now full. You can also watch live by visiting www.lcmh/watch.
