Strokes – caused by blood clots or ruptures in the brain’s blood vessels – can occur quite suddenly with very little warning. The symptoms can often be overlooked or confusing, and include things like numbness in the face or limbs, loss of vision, severe headache, and a sudden difficulty speaking or understanding speech. Knowing these warning signs can help ensure treatment begins as soon as possible, which can greatly improve chances of survival.
