Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms the Silent Killer

About This Event
- Event Type:Seminar
Sometimes it’s the illnesses that you can’t see that can be the most harmful. Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is the enlargement of the abdominal aorta. It is rarely symptomatic unless it ruptures—then it can be fatal. The causes of the condition are unclear, but smoking, high blood pressure and family history can all be risk factors. Fortunately, with routine screening, early diagnosis, and appropriate intervention, AAA can be treated and managed.
To learn more about abdominal aortic aneurysms and their signs, risk factors and treatments, join J. King White, MD, FACC, for his lecture, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms: the Silent Killer.
