This type of surgery involves handheld, robotic-controlled assistance, which allows for precise surgical outcomes for patients living with knee pain caused by osteoarthritis.

Dr. Duarte is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with total joint and revision specialization. He received his medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, and he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He also completed his fellowship in adult reconstruction and arthritis surgery at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa. Dr. Duarte was the first to perform robotic-assisted total knee replacement surgery in southwest Louisiana.
