Managing diabetes is difficult. A chronic disease that is often times incurable, those who suffer face a great many challenges that are unique to the disease, including but not limited to nerve pain and wounds on lower extremities. Proper management of diabetic symptoms can prevent these complications from occurring, but once they have occurred, they can be managed in a vast number of ways.

To learn more about preventing and managing diabetic nerve pain and lower extremity wounds, please join Dr. Daniel T. Hall IV, DPM, a board certified foot and ankle surgeon with several published articles on reconstructive foot and ankle surgery techniques and post-operative care in the diabetic population. He’s also the co-founder of Louisiana Foot and Ankle Specialists in Lake Charles, Louisiana and is on staff at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital where he serves as the Surgical Section Chief.

Born and raised in a small rural town in southern Indiana, Dr. Hall completed his undergraduate degree at Indiana University and his doctorate at William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University. He followed this with a residency at South Miami Hospital of Baptist Health in Miami, Florida where he served as chief resident.

On the Right Foot: Managing Diabetic Nerve Damage and Wound Care, is a free seminar being held at 12 noon on Friday, March 23, in the Shearman Conference Center at Memorial Hospital on Oak Park Boulevard. Light lunch will be provided, and reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance.
