Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States - and one of the most common cancers in our area. Prevention and early detection through healthy lifestyle and regular screenings are key components in beating this disease. Once diagnosed, though, treatment often involves surgery. In recent years, surgical treatment has advanced and can often be done with minimal risk—and minimal invasiveness.

Minimally Invasive, Massively Effective: Treating Colorectal Cancers With Surgery is a free seminar being held Friday, March 29 at 12 noon in the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital Shearman Conference Center on Oak Park Blvd. A light lunch is provided and reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance.
