Live & On Call: A discussion about trauma-related symptoms in SWLA

About This Event

  • Event Type:Virtual Event
Details:

The last couple of years in SWLA have been filled with loss, anxiety, fear, and uncertainty. We have seen our community come together like never before, but we have also seen how trying this can be on our mental health. Working through emotions or feelings after a traumatic event (or events) can be difficult. You may even gradually develop symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD. While some similar symptoms may heal on their own after a period of time, those who feel stuck may not be able to move past the trauma. It may be time to seek help.

To discuss how to address trauma-related symptoms and how to take the next steps to healing, Dr. David Murdock, Memorial Medical Group’s newest board-certified psychiatrist will be Live and On Call on Thursday February 10, at 12pm from the Lake Charles Memorial Health System Facebook page.

For more information, please call (337) 494-2933. You can watch the event live online by visiting lcmh.com/watch or facebook.com/LakeCharlesMemorial. NOTE: A recording of the livestream will be available on our website, Facebook and Youtube pages following the event.
