Meet Ping K. "Albert" Lie, MD

Dr. Lie is an internist and primary care physician at Lake Charles Memorial Health System. He sees patients at Moss Memorial Health Clinic on Walters Street in Lake Charles.

A primary care physician is often the first medical professional you see when you're sick. They are specifically trained to act as personal doctors, providing long-term, comprehensive care. Internists see adult patients to diagnose and treat a variety of issues – from colds and flu to managing chronic diseases, like hypertension and diabetes. Primary care physicians, like Dr. Lie, are also the access point to specialty care, like cardiology, orthopedics, and surgical services.

Dr. Lie holds a medical degree and was awarded a doctoral fellowship from the University of Münster in Münster, Germany. He continued his medical training with an internship at St. Josef Hospital in West Germany, as well as St. Josef Hospital, St. Lukas Hospital, and St. Johannes Hospital. Dr. Lie continues his academic studies in internal medicine, biochemistry, and congestive heart failure at Michigan State University Cardiology Department at East Lansing. Dr. Lie obtained his internship and residency training in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
