Meet Rozaleen Phaltas, MD,FAAP
Rozaleen Phaltas, MD FAAP is a board-certified Pediatric Intensivist with Lake Charles Memorial Health System.
Prior to pursuing medical school Dr. Phaltas received undergraduate degrees in both Psychology and Respiratory Therapy. She went on to receive her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica West Indies. Her post-graduate training includes residency in Pediatrics from the University of South Alabama Children's and Women's Hospital in Mobile, AL, and a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at University of Buffalo, Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo, NY.
Dr. Phaltas has her board certification through the American Board of Pediatrics. She has a vast array of medical experience working in the disciplines of pharmacy, respiratory therapy, polysomnography, emergency medicine and as a critical care Hospitalist. She worked most recently as a pediatric intensivist at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA and at West Virginia University as an Assistant Professor in Morgantown, WV.
