Meet Susan Ieyoub, MD
Affiliated Member of the Medical Staff at LCMHS.
A primary care physician is often the first medical professional you see when you're sick. They are specifically trained to act as personal doctors, providing long-term, comprehensive care. Internists see adult patients to diagnose and treat a variety of issues – from colds and flu to managing chronic diseases, like hypertension and diabetes. Primary care physicians, like Dr. Ieyoub, are also the access point to specialty care, like cardiology, orthopedics, and surgical services.
Dr. Ieyoub is a graduate of McNeese State University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in pre-medicine. She then went on to Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans where she received her medical degree and was awarded the ACP Internal Medicine Award of Excellence. She continued her post-graduate studies with an internal medicine residency at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans.
She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Southern Medical Association, the Louisiana Medical Society, and the Calcasieu Parish Medical Society.
