Memorial Post Hurricane Information

Update: 9/23/20

Lake Charles Memorial Hospital at 1701 Oak Park Blvd. is safe, open and here for Southwest Louisiana residents. Our Emergency Services continue to be available 24/7 supported by diagnostic imaging, lab, and pharmacy services. While some of our buildings sustained damage from the storm, our limited services have been due to a lack of city water and electrical power. That is no longer the case as we have full city water service with a back-up water system and electricity.

Memorial ramped up services at our main campus on Monday, September 14th with the addition of non-elective surgeries and procedures, endoscopy, outpatient chemotherapy, as well as our medical acute care, intensive care, and behavioral health care units in operation.

  • Archer Institute is closed at this time. For urgent behavioral health needs, go to the nearest ER.
  • OB/GYN appointments will continue to take place at the Memorial for Women medical office building, but all deliveries will take place in the Same Day Surgery area on the 3rd Floor of Memorial Hospital on Oak Park Boulevard. Post-partum moms and newborns will be moved to the 6th Floor. The NICU will also be on the 6th floor until Memorial for Women is operational again. Patients needing Early Labor Evaluation can come to the ER for triage and then be taken to the 3rd Floor.
  • The most recent COVID-19 visitor policy and entrance hours will remain in place. Find the latest at
  • Valet parking service hours are 7:00am -3:00pm Monday-Friday at the entrance to main campus.
  • The Gift Shop at main campus will open on Monday, September 28. Hours are Monday - Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 p.m.

We appreciate your patience as we work to restore all services. Here are some frequently asked questions:
