Manley Jordan, MD Named Chief Medical Officer at Memorial

Lake Charles Memorial Health System welcomes Manley Jordan, MD in his new role as Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) beginning January 1, 2016.
Dr. Jordan, board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, has been a practicing Pulmonary physician since 1989 and joined Pulmonology Associates of Southwest Louisiana, a part of the Memorial Medical Group, in 2004. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine.
As CMO of the Memorial Health System, he will be instrumental in aligning clinical best practices across all affiliated hospitals, clinics and physician practices and responsible for decisions relating to clinical quality assurance. He will work closely with system administrators to develop and assess quality metrics used to strategically drive excellence in the delivery of health care at Memorial and assist in the continued pursuit of building a strong, cohesive medical team and a better patient experience.
Kevin Mocklin, MD, who has done an exemplary job as CMO since 2008, will continue as Corporate Compliance Director overseeing adherence to the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that hospital policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior within the organization meets Memorial’s Standards of Conduct. He will also be responsible for the development of a Utilization Review Program for the systems uncompensated care (UCC) patient population. Dr. Mocklin, a retired internal medicine physician, was co-founder of the Internal Medicine Clinic of Southwest Louisiana in 1996, which is now a part of the Memorial Medical Group.
