Sherry Schofield, Director of Volunteer Services said, “For the past 14 years…I have worked closely with Richard. I have found him dependable, efficient, and unfailingly punctual. I have never worked with a person who gives as much attention to detail as he does. His willingness to take on difficult projects and see them to successful completion has repeatedly impressed me. He projects a warm, cheerful attitude to our employees, patients, visitors, and other volunteers. He goes out of his way to help people in need. He loves people, works hard, and always tries to lift the spirits of those around him. I believe these characteristics represent all that is good in our Auxiliary and hospital.”

As a 2023 Auxiliary Volunteer of the Year recipient, Richard will be credited with more than 8,000 hours of humanitarian effort and service. In addition to his assignments in the Blood Draw Station and the Gift Shop, he serves as assistant to the Director of the Auxiliary in special projects. Yes, Richard is a “Richard of all Trades”.

Congratulations and thank you Richard for all you do!
