Working alongside experienced registered nurses, students learn to apply critical thinking, strengthen clinical skills, communicate with patients and healthcare teams, and gain firsthand experience caring for individuals across a variety of hospital settings. These experiences prepare students not only to pass exams, but to succeed in the fast-paced, ever-changing world of patient care.

The partnership extends beyond traditional clinical rotations. Memorial supports McNeese nursing students through nurse extern opportunities, preceptorships, mentorship, and career pathways that allow students to continue growing professionally throughout their education.
